You didn't love the licensing, but you'll miss vCenter. You don't have to. vOpsCentral manages your remaining standalone ESXi hosts directly — no vCenter, no appliance to babysit, no certificate-expiry time bombs — right alongside the KVM, Proxmox, or XCP-ng hosts you're moving to.

And when it's time to move the workloads themselves: convert & migrate VMs off ESXi from the management UI — VMDK to qcow2 or VHDX, handled by virt-v2v and qemu-img, with the real disk-format story shown on every migration dialog. One console before, during, and after the exodus.

The headliner: clusterless live migration. Live migration on plain KVM hosts normally fails until you've hand-wired SSH trust, firewall and QEMU migration ports, CPU baselines, and bridge parity. vOpsCentral's wizard orchestrates all of it and verifies readiness. A guided wizard configures host clustering for you — SSH trust, migration ports, CPU-baseline checks, readiness verification — then live migration just works. Manager-free. Cluster-stack-free.

03An honest UI

Standalone ESXi can't vMotion. Single-node Proxmox can't live-migrate. vOpsCentral says so — and never offers an operation that would fail. Recommendations only ever suggest genuinely zero-downtime moves.

04Agentless & direct

Every host managed over its own native API — libvirt, ESXi host SDK, WinRM, Proxmox REST, XAPI. No agents to deploy, no per-platform manager, no appliance sprawl.

05Fast, like tools should be

Sub-second navigation, a command palette that finds any VM, host, or action in two keystrokes, dense information design. The anti-thesis of the vSphere client.
